  1. Ah, just checked over page 1 to see what you mean. NVM then, I'll be under Aido, but still try to aim for some importance .
  2. I'll be... whoever leads the ninja of the Sound Village, I guess. Is this just, like, our aspirations or what? I dunno how in-depth this game is gonna let us customize our characters in the way of jutsu and/or position, but I have had an RP character for some time that I've never really gotten a chance to fully utilize . A-Hem: My name is Onryo Buraku, Elite Jonin of Otogakure. I was born into an ignoble, decentralized clan that only escaped discrimination in Orochimaru's "haven for outsiders." In my youth, I accompanied my mother and a few other members of my clan, traveling through the Land of Sound to provide services of channeling and exorcism. I was in training to be a medium. At the age of four, bandits attacked our party, leaving most of our group injured and my mother dead. I saw her bleed out in front of my eyes for half an hour, and was faced with a profound sense of despair that even while she was still clinging to life, I was unable to do anything to aid her. Those who survived the bandit raid knew I would become dead weight if I did not learn the skills only my mother was prepared to teach me, so they brought me to a nearby orphanage instead. Like many orphans in the Land of Sound, I was transferred to a ninja academy so that I could be of use to Otogakure, a lot in life I would later come to consider something of a "true calling." After passing Ninja Academy exams with flying colors, I was apprenticed to an elderly jonin of great skill and perfectly balanced temperament. At the time, I was still distraught at the memory of my mother's death, and tormented by my own powerlessness in the face of it. I feared that her soul would never rest if I never did anything to rectify this powerlessness, and so I attempted to learn medical-ninjutsu to save others from dying as she had. When it became clear that I had no talent for medical-ninjutsu, my sensei took it upon himself to remove the aspiration from my head. I was subsequently taught not to care whether my mother rested in peace or not, and told that fear and hatred were tools to be used, not disabilities to be overcome. I found my niche in genjutsu, wherein I was able to utilize the hatred I grew to have for others, and twist my own fears into illusions to torture them. After a while I even found a way to combine genjutsu with ninjutsu, in order to damage my opponents whilst fooling them into thinking their wounds were more or less serious than they truly were. I came to see those who embody fear, despair and vulgarity as ideal in this world, dropping my animosity against those who had attacked my clan and I in my childhood, realizing that they did well to torment us so. Over the years, I tried to become the ideal kunoichi, striking terror into the hearts of foe and friend alike, in hopes of gaining a measure of submissive respect from those around me. Although I eventually reached a position of high power within Otogakure, organizing and commanding its ninja forces, I tend to keep a low, unambitious profile. I have few hobbies and fewer friends. A vague reputation as an opponent to be feared, and the chance to pass my skills on to the next generation, are all I need to feel as if I can live and die contentedly.
  3. What's with the English name? It'd probably be Bansu or something instead of Vance in the Japanese-esque setting . Also, the character could use a weak point in order to add more of a "goal" element to the story, and to make his challenge more suspenseful just as an adventure story. Since he's good at nin, tai, and genjutsu, his fighting style leaves little to aspire to besides improving what he's already good at. Social awkwardness could be a challenge to overcome, but that seems kind of cancelled out by his cocky optimism.
  4. People might escape them via temporarily disabling ninjutsu (to simulate chakra disruption), or through a minor health takeoff (simulating escape through pain). Also, if you have allies unaffected by the genjutsu, they could wake you up through the genjutsu kai process perhaps (the higher ranked the genjutsu, the longer it would take to charge the "kai").
  5. 641: A Bigger Black Ball of Chakra!! 642: Rasenshuriken has no Effect?? 643: A Bigger Black Ball of Chakra!!(!) 644: God Trapped: Madara's Wooden Prison 645: Clash of Overpowered Zombies
  6. Of course weed exists in the Naruto universe; look at Hayate Gekko B)
  7. Well, that's how minor criminal gangs tend to work; not everything can be the Sicilian Mafia, after all. Look at Zabuza's gang. It was basically him, Haku and the Demon Brothers.
  8. Lol. This makes me realize just how few "main characters" I'm a big fan of . Out of these, only the first three I name are actually my favorite character in their particular series. 1. Yomiko Readman (Read or Die) 2. Vash the Stampede (Trigun) 3. Guts (Berserk) 4. Yusuke Urameshi (Yu Yu Hakusho) 5. Sasuke Uchiha (Naruto) (I imagine he counts, since rivals to the main character have been named before) If Sasuke doesn't count, I guess I'd say Yoh Asakura from Shaman King (Shaman King anime stinks compared to the manga though) or Kazuma from S-Cry-Ed?
  9. Well, I dunno if you'd want to or not, but the obvious first suggestion is to make your own Inuzuka . Since the Inuzuka clan is fairly respected in Konoha, the odds are such an OC would have a decent life growing up. If not, it could be interesting to think up a reason why. Your character could be a quietly proud fighter, skulking around with their dog performing tasks for them, or a loser with poor instincts, paired with a mangy mutt, or any combination of other things. The Inuzuka clan mainly focuses on combo attacks; so deciding first what type(s) of dog your character has would be important, whether they be big and slow (serving as a bodyguard for the less-durable human to get close enough to do powerful attacks), small and smart (running around and setting bombs), or numerous and crafty (two dogs using a feint while another dog and the human leap in for a power-move). You might also want to think about what your character's most emphasized dog-like trait could be (like Kiba's sense of smell + all-fours jutsu). Your character might even be blind, and have to use their other senses in combination with a seeing-eye/attack dog to fight. That seems somewhat original. Hope I stirred some inspiration in ya' :3
  10. Bui appreciation, hell yeah! First reason why the anime is better then the manga: this dude gets to show off more (and you get to hear his heavy-metal voice).
  11. Inonatamari would beat the hell out of the Misumi-Ao-Naraka Path chimera
  12. Hey... this guy right here deserves a spot in the hall of fame. Young pretty boy. Most songs in the rap game. Most followers in the rap game. More swag than errybody. Just saying.
  13. Action/fantasy, action/sci-fi, certain mystery/crime series, comedy in small doses. Though horror is my favorite genre in general, I haven't found a horror manga that really appealed to me, unless Hellsing or Genzo count.
  14. * I've watched it. One of a few anime that I prefer to the manga * 9-9.5/10 * Favorite: Bui or "Doctor" * Most disliked: Shishiwakamaru * I can't decide what I liked most. Series had too many interesting parts for that. * The part I most disliked would be Raizen powering up Yusuke at the end of Chapter Black. One of the reasons I liked the show so much in the first place was that Yusuke lacked any special powerup/heritage; that he was basically just a good-natured punk with spiritual training and a lot of balls.
