  1. I just read the RP events post by Rory, and I thought about something. Since an aging system would be impossible in terms of physical changes and actual effects on your character, maybe a time system would be better. By this I mean, everyone starts at like 9-10 years old or something when you're an academy student. Every month is one year, seeing as how the chunnins are monthly in the game and yearly in the manga/anime. Then everyone would get +1 age for every year, the age resetting when your character dies/is deleted. And the age limit would be between 70-100 years of age, automatically killing them of old age, the % chance increasing as you get older between 60-100 or 70-100. This would really reduce characters that last years apon years - 100 years in-game being a little less than 10 IRL years. If the age limit was reduced{30 years old, roughly 2 years IRL!) then maybe people would get an incentive to move past being a level 100 genin rank, as they would not have that long to live and would die eventually anyways, and so would take the risk of perma-death in RP events. I only think this because I hope wipes will not occur that often, or not at all, past the beginning stages of the game, making it more of a generation/continuing history of a world as it goes on. Reducing the death age to between 10-20 years in-game would make characters only last a year or so, but obviously the in-game years to IRL years ratio would be multiplied for RP's sake, as 20 year wouldn't die in the reality of the world, just for game system's sake. So, to sum it up, there would be a time/age system that would not effect the character besides giving them a limit to how old they can get, killing them automatically in a few months/year IRL time, so as to give people a reason to move past a level 100 genin. Another thing might be slowly reducing their stats as they get older past a certain age, their decline age. However, this might not be a good idea and would be a lot harder to implement earlier, so its not nearly as important!
